Arshpreet Bhatwa

Arshpreet completed his Bachelor of Science in the Biology Co-op program at the University of Waterloo. After gaining an interest in research through co-op opportunities and his 4th year thesis, Arshpreet decided to pursue a Master's degree in the Schertzer lab. Here, he investigated the relationship of how obesity, diet, and high blood glucose trigger changes to the gut barrier and impact metabolic endotoxemia.

Outside of the lab Arshpreet enjoys both playing and watching all sorts of sports. He has a sweet tooth and will often snack on chocolate (despite being in a lab that focuses on how glucose can be detrimental to gut health). He loves to learn new things and is always interested in taking up a new hobby.
