MEGHAN CONN

Meghan completed her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University. For her honours thesis, she investigated pulmonary inflammation in the context of obesity-induced hyperleptinemia in the Kokoeva Lab at the McGill University Health Centre. This project sparked her interest in studying the interplay of immunology and metabolism in conditions such as obesity and diabetes. Currently, Meghan is a Master's Student in the Schertzer Lab. Her project is investigating the impact of intermittent fasting on muscle vs. fat balance in diabetes.

In her free time, Meghan loves hiking, painting, and playing board games with friends. She firmly believes that any destination within an hour's walk is "walkable" and refuses to wear winter boots, even in snowstorms.
